2019 5-Miler

The 19th annual Hampton River Runners 5 Miler was on Sunday, September 8th. The 5 Miler race day includes the Kid’s Kilometre (for kids 12 and under), and the Three for Me 3K (for ages 16 and under). The top overall female runners were Sacha Hourihan, Erin Vringer and Anouk Doiron. The top male runners were Lee Wesselius, Jean-Marc Doiron and Jeff Queen.

New Course and 5 Mile Provincial Record

Lee Wesselius of River Glade set a new Provincial 5 Miler record and Hampton 5 Miler course record with a time of 23:39.

Bill MacMackin Awarded the 5th Annual Sheila Burns Memorial Award

Sheila Burns, who passed away in 2015, was a long-time member of the Hampton River Runners. This award, presented in her memory, is awarded to recognize “an individual who, through his/her hard work, leadership and personal example, has made a significant contribution to the running community in southern New Brunswick”. The Hampton River Runners are proud to recognize the many contributions of Bill MacMackin as the 5th recipient of the Shiela Burns Award.
